Real Stories Inspiring Cardiac Rehab Participation

We’re excited to introduce Heart-to-Heart, a new initiative from the MiCR NewBeat team aimed at improving CR utilization through the power of storytelling.

Information alone isn’t enough to close the CR participation gap. Even with automatic referrals or strong physician endorsements, many patients still stop short of enrolling. Why? For some, what’s missing isn’t more information, it’s a sense of connection. What they need is inspiration.

Heart-to-Heart is a new initiative designed to fill that gap. This project seeks to amplify the real, diverse voices of Michigan patients who have experienced CR and sharing their journeys through compelling audio, visual, and written storytelling. Our goal is to foster broader conversations about the life-changing impact of cardiac rehabilitation, and to inspire those considering attendance.

We need your help to make this possible. If you know a CR patient or graduate who wants to share their story,  or if your team is interested in learning more about MICR hosting a story collection event at your site, we invite you to get involved.
