Beautifully designed resources that help increase enrollment in Cardiac Rehab
NewBeat is a multi-component intervention designed and led by teams at three Michigan collaborative quality initiatives (CQIs): Healthy Behavior Optimization for Michigan (HBOM), Michigan Value Collaborative (MVC), and the BMC2 Cardiovascular Consortium. First launched in late 2023, NewBeat aimed to apply human-centered design methods to reimagine the cardiac rehab referral and enrollment experience.
Initial developments–including the distribution of over 10,000 cardiac rehabilitation referral resources in 2024–was funded by HBOM, BMC2, and the Frankel Cardiovascular Center’s Just Do It! Award.
